At Apryse, we understand that our people are at the heart of the journey to success. Our culture is driven by our commitment to teamwork and collaboration, and that’s why we’re proud to spotlight those who help shape it.
This month, we’re excited to introduce you to Max Kozlowski, Enterprise Account Executive, who’s having a blast learning and growing in the world of the fast-paced world of Enterprise Sales at Apryse.
When Apryse first reached out to me, I had no idea what a developer SDK was, let alone the massive market opportunity that stood in front of me. However, after doing some research and speaking to a few team members, I was drawn to the company’s ambitious plans to scale and dominate what appeared to be a largely untapped market.
As a Vancouver native, the chance to join a company in my hometown, supported by a talented and driven team, felt like an obvious choice – especially once I established that I was ready to transition my sales career into the world of software and technology.
The coolest part about my job is that no two days are ever the same. Collaborating with enterprise customers to address inefficiencies in their daily operations lets me gain insight into the unique challenges faced by a diverse range of industries. Whether it’s streamlining a small dental office’s invoicing process or driving a full-scale digital transformation for a Fortune 500 company, each situation is distinct and required us to act as trusted consultants, guiding our customers toward their goals. For me, the most rewarding part of sales is experiencing the fulfillment that comes from securing hard-earned victories for our customers.
My proudest achievement at Apryse has been progressing from an entry-level SDR role to an Enterprise AE in less than 2.5 years.
When I first joined the company, I had zero experience in software sales. I had a lot to learn and always aspired to be an enterprise rep from day one. I was fortunate enough to work under a few amazing people who provided me with a rock-solid foundation of the skills needed to be successful in the industry. Along the way, I’ve also had the privilege of learning from some amazing colleagues who have shared their insights and helped me navigate various challenges.
For me, this accomplishment is a testament to the incredible people that we have here at Apryse and the culture of teamwork that has been fostered by our leadership throughout the last several years.
Documents are everywhere, and they play a far more significant role in business strategy than I thought. In an age where artificial intelligence and large language models are becoming a central component of most applications, efficiently processing documents and uncovering the valuable data within them at scale is imperative. Throughout my time at Apryse, I’ve come to realize that documents aren’t just a means to an end – they represent a huge opportunity for businesses to unlock new insights, streamline workflows, create new revenue streams, and differentiate against the competition.
It’s hard to choose just one, but as a company with a lot of remote employees, I really appreciate our in-person meetups throughout the year. Whether it’s the entire sales team gathering for a week at SKO or a small group of us enjoying dinner together in Vancouver, I always look forward to connecting face-to-face and sharing some laughs. The best part of working at Apryse is, without a doubt, the people!
Don’t be afraid to ask questions and make mistakes. We have an incredible team here, all eager to help you learn and succeed – especially if you show initiative and put in a consistent effort. Embrace the ever-evolving nature of working for a private equity-backed software company. While it can be challenging at times, it’s equally rewarding for those committed to playing the long game.
