The Apyrse DOCX Editor was originally released in June 2023, enabling native DOCX editing within any web application, addressing security and version control issues associated with downloading and hosting files online. The Editor’s features have since expanded to include image insertion and manipulation, table creation and editing, and drag-and-drop functionality. The recent 10.11 release introduces an essential tool for document collaborators: the ability to track changes within the same workspace, enhancing redline and approval workflows.

With release 10.11, users can see edits within a unified environment, eliminating the need to share document changes via insecure methods such as email communications and attachments.

Any text changes from Google or Microsoft documents are recorded in a comprehensive reviewing panel within DOCX, notating the timestamp and author of each change to provide transparency in document manipulation, build efficient collaboration, and enhance overall document security and reliability.

Additional DOCX track changes capabilities include:

  • Tracking of text additions, deletions, and revisions
  • Detailed sidebar displaying all text changes
  • All users enabled to accept/reject changes
  • Tracking of author and timestamp of each change
  • Filter changes by created date, modified date, status, author, type, or color

The DOCX Editor protects document integrity by preserving formatting, preventing version inconsistencies, and providing a secure, reliable way to revise documents in line with your business practices. For dispute resolution, contract negotiation, or project planning, try the latest version of the DOCX Editor to see how track changes can enhance your business workflows.

A document containing changes from Google Docs or Microsoft Word is imported into DOCX. As you can see, changes are redlined throughout the document. Users can continue to add, remove, or make edits to content within the DOCX Editor.

Users can accept/reject document changes made by other users in this mode by hovering over each redline and selecting the X to 'reject' or a checkmark to 'accept.'

A 'Reviewing Panel' is displayed on the left side of the document viewer, summarizing all the text changes made within the document. A user can accept or reject changes in this view, as well as filter changes by position, created date, modified date, status, author, type, or color.

Additionally, the reviewing panel contains a search bar for inputting keywords to sort through the change history. Any new changes to the document will be recorded in the reviewing panel.
