Today we are very excited to introduce version 7.1.4 of Apryse's Android PDF SDK. This release includes a lasso PDF annotation selection tool, new signature UI, improved Hindi Free Text Appearance, and much more. This blog post will go through the major changes in 7.1.4. For the full list of changes, please head over to our changelog for Apryse 7.1.4 for Android.

Lasso PDF Annotation Selection Tool

The ability to select multiple annotations with rectangular selection is great, however, what if your user wants to exclude certain annotations in the selection? The newly added lasso tool lets your users make perfect selections in documents where multiple annotations are in close proximity, saving them time.

New Document Signing Experience

Copied to clipboard

This release comes with a brand new document signature UI for building a secure and streamlined document signing flow. Let your users sign documents using their hand-drawn, and uploaded signatures, as well optionally save their signatures for signing multiple pages or documents. The signing flow can be completely customized, such as disabling saved signatures if the device is handed over to multiple customers for a signature.

Improved Hindi Free Text Appearance

We now support creating, editing, and saving Hindi FreeText PDF annotations. Additionally, it's now possible to combine multiple languages in a Free Text annotation, such as having both English and Persian together. Saved annotations will be displayed consistently when viewed in a PDF-compliant reader, such as Apryse or Xodo.
