Summary: RTL Language Support and Programmatic DOCX Editing are key features in WebViewer, while Server SDK brings Document Classification and CAD Title Block Extraction.
This Fall, Apryse introduced new capabilities to cut manual work, improve collaboration, and expand into global markets with Right-to-Left (RTL) language support. WebViewer now supports RTL viewing and programmatic editing for DOCX and XLSX, ensuring a consistent experience across file types. On the server side, AI-trained Document Classification joins Smart Data Extraction, alongside automated extraction of key values from CAD files.
Our ongoing investment in Smart Data Extraction expands this toolkit that turns documents into data. Two new features help to eliminate the inefficiencies that come with manual sorting of documents and the complexity of extracting CAD Title Blocks for AEC projects.
With AI-trained Document Classification, Smart Data Extraction instantly recognizes documents like invoices, receipts, IDs, and contracts, speeding intake and boosting accuracy. You can validate submissions, route them to the right workflow or person, and attach metadata for later processing. The add-on is modular, so you only use the components you need to build the application that fits your needs.
Learn about the automation power of document classification as part of the Smart Data Extraction add-on.
Automatically locate the Title Block in engineering drawings and extract key metadata such as drawing number, revision, and date into JSON output. It handles wide variations in layout, fonts, and formats, reducing manual effort and preventing errors. Teams can then build reliable search and indexing to quickly locate and manage large drawing libraries.

With the Fall release, WebViewer enables consistent review and approval flows across formats and expands out-of-the-box market coverage.
PDFs don’t natively support right-to-left text. This can be a critical barrier for documentation-heavy apps in many markets. Now, WebViewer supports native Right-to-Left support with new localizations for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Urdu, allowing users to interact with UI and canvas content across language types. Support 29 out-of-the-box language localizations and easily add more.

The DOCX and Spreadsheet Editors, add-ons to the Web SDK, introduce new features that let teams work naturally and efficiently across document types. They give product and development teams a faster path to market and deliver a great experience for end users working with DOCX, spreadsheets, and PDFs, all within an industry-leading Web SDK.
DOCX Editor now offers APIs for programmatic text editing with a new in-editor Search & Replace panel, giving developers the ability to automate bulk updates and end users the ability to make quick, precise changes to content.
Spreadsheet Editor makes large-scale updates faster with Search & Replace across entire workbooks, plus advanced options like regex and case sensitivity. This release also adds undo/redo, image insertion, and keyboard shortcuts for a faster, more familiar editing experience.
